Strategic imperatives of the economic development of agriculture sector of Ukraine

Abstract

Agriculture is an important sector of the Ukrainian economy, which is accounted for a fifth of GDP and one-third of the employed population. There is the projected increase in demand for agricultural products in major export markets. However, to unlock the potential of this industry, it is necessary to solve a number of problems, namely: low productivity, poor quality of products, and poor infrastructure. Improving access to financing is a key to the successful solution of all these problems. Сільське господарство - це важлива галузь української економіки, яка займає п’яту частину ВВП та третину працездатного населення. Необхідно підвищувати попит на сільськогосподарську продукцію на основних експортних ринках. Незважаючи на значний потенціал галузі, існує ряд проблем, які необхідно вирішувати, зокрема: низька продуктивність, низька якість продукції та незадовільна інфраструктура. Покращення доступу до фінансових ресурсів – ключовий фактор при вирішенні даних проблем.
