The article is devoted to topical issues of effective management of a commercial bank's loan portfolio. The views of scientists concerning the essence of the notion "loan portfolio" are researched.

Статтю присвячено актуальним питанням ефективного управління кредитним портфелем комерційного банку. Досліджено погляди науковців відносно сутності поняття «кредитний портфель». Розглянуто думки вчених стосовно визначення сутності та специфічних особливостей процесу управління кредитним портфелем комерційного банку. Визначено ключові етапи процесу управління кредитним портфелем комерційного банку та важливість кредитного портфелю у забезпеченні прибуткової діяльності комерційного банку. The article is devoted to topical issues of effective management of a commercial bank's loan portfolio. The views of scientists concerning the essence of the notion "loan portfolio" are researched. Considered the opinions of scientists regarding the determination of the essence and specific features of the process of managing the loan portfolio of a commercial bank. The key stages of the process of managing a commercial bank's credit portfolio are determined. The article defines the importance of a loan portfolio in providing profitable business to a commercial bank.
