Modeling of the technological process of walnut drying in a convective dryer

Abstract

The article presents the results of simulation in the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ software package of the work process of the developed convective dryer for walnuts, which is made in the form of a mixer with a vertical screw working body with a bottom injection of a warm air flow. A visualization of the process of redistribution (mixing) of walnut fruits in the area of the drying chamber under the action of the screw working body and the distribution of air flow speed and temperature in the area of the drying chamber was obtained. У статті наведено результати моделювання в програмному комплексі Simcenter STAR-CCM+ процесу роботи розробленої конвективної сушарки для волоських горіхів, яка виконана у вигляді змішувача з вертикальним шнековим робочим органом з нижнім нагнітанням теплого повітря. потік. Отримано візуалізацію процесу перерозподілу (перемішування) плодів волоського горіха в зоні сушильної камери під дією шнекового робочого органу та розподілу швидкості повітряного потоку і температури в зоні сушильної камери.
